Catnaps - An Electromagnetic Breakdown
Presented here is a live demonstration of a grey tabby domestic shorthair at rest. Observe closely as this precision-engineered floof maintains 115% impedance match with her blanket for hours at a time. The markings on her back and belly create a Yagi-Uda antenna that resonates at 1.93 GHz (Assuming her stripes are ~3in long like I measured)
Key Observations
- Negative reflection due to 115% impedance match, causing her to heat up objects she lays on
- Thermal dissipation over time appears linear, with temperature rising at an increased rate as time goes on.
- Subject occasionally emits low-frequency purring, suspected to aid in passive self-tuning (I read somewhere that the 18-30 Hz tones they make while purring might help with bone density, but it might be an outdated study).
